Prien

   Prien am Chiemsee is in the heart of a beautiful region with a back-drop of stunning mountains and a gorgeous lake. Bavaria's largest lake, Lake Chiemsee and otherwise known as the "Bavarian Sea", is actually the remains of a former glacier. There are traces of prehistoric settlements on the three islands jutting out of the lake, Herrenchiemsee, Frauenchiemsee and Kraut island. The legendary King Ludwig, wanted to build a second Versailles and created the Herrenchiemsee Palace, which is one of the cultural pearls of this region
